I have a feeling that a couple of these products aren’t so new to Bourjois, but they are definitely new on my dressing table and so far I’m loving them.
First up, is the Bourjois healthy Balance powder which I have used non stop for a couple of weeks now, its an ultra fine finishing powder which does a great job at evening out my skin, with the added benefits of skincare within the powder – described as “an Asian fruit therapy formula to restore balance to the skin” It boasts 10 hours of wear, but to be honest – it fairs pretty well for my 8 hours at the office but once I’m home its kind of looking patchy. It has nice compact packaging and comes with a nice big mirror – it also has a pleasant fruity smell, which once applied you don’t notice at all.
I love me some concealer, so its no shock that I grabbed the two newest versions. The first I’m going to rave about is the Bourgois Radiance Reveal Concealer which has taken the top spot over the rest of my concealers at the moment, it gives a nice amount of coverage to the under eye, with a dewy moisturised finish which doesn’t sit in my fine lines. Brilliant for perking up my underlies quickly, Win.
The second concealer is what I like to call “heavy duty” aptly named Bourjois Blur The Lines Concealer it is thicker in consistency and comes in stick form, this stuff is brilliant for hiding blemishes (trust me I have had a few monsters lately) and I also like to add a little of this over the top of the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer if my dark circles are particularly bad. It certainly blends/blurs well but be careful not to go near the outer corner of the eye if you have fine lines like me – otherwise it does tend crease up.
Bourgois’s newest Mascara offering is the Volume Reveal Mascara, which not only comes in a quirky 3 sided tube, it also has a mirror on the side – which at first I thought it was a bit of a cheesy gimmick, however its incredibly handy as it magnifies so you can make sure you catch all of small lashes. Now lets talk about the wand, its rubber bristles are short and quite tightly packed and perfect for getting tight to the waterline – I found it perfect for grabbing the little corner lashes. It gives a nice coat of rich black pigment, and gives a really nicely defined finish – not overly thick and it did not clump at all. I am initially very impressed with this mascara, and if your a fan of jet black individually defined lashes, with a then this is for you.
Next up a liquid lip that won’t break the bank, and lasts for a fair few hours.. introducing the Bourjoir Rouge Edition Velvet , I know its not new, but they keep bringing out new colours to this range, and I am slowly collecting them all. This liquid lipstick has a beautiful texture on the lips, light, and not at all drying. They last for around 4 or 5 good hours of wear on me before a top up is needed (it would probably longer if you don’t drink as much tea as me) The colours shown are Don’t pink of it which is a beautiful rosey nude colour which I wear to the office on a daily basis, and Hot Pepper which is a vivid red perfect for autumn/winter. I will definatley be grabbing a few more of these on my next Boots visit.
So thats my round up, do you have any Bourjois favourites? what do you think about their newest offerings?
